MOUETTE Plastic Injection Mold Instruction

Mold installation:

1.When transiting mold, the designated eye bolts must be used. Mold should be in a good balance and placed at the right position.

Checking items:

a) Diameter of steel wire or iron chain must accord with or above the standard;

b) No rust, break, visible deformation and any abnormality on steel wire or iron chain;

c) Whether the component preventing the moving of cavity and core is enclosed;

d) Make sure the eye bolts are screwed into the mold completely;

e) Make sure eye bolts below parting line are hitched with steel wire or iron chain;


2.Mold must be shut while turning around

Checking items:

a) Rubber or wood underlay must be used while turning around the mold in case any impact happened;

b) Make sure the components(spring, bolts, hose connectors, etc.)will not be damaged while turning around. Please demount if necessary, then assemble them as before.


3.Use appropriate injection machine to fit the mold.

a) Injection machine can work under excellent condition.

b) No fragment or any abnormal articles on the fixing side.

c) Fixing sides of mold must be smooth and flat.


4.Core and cavity must be fixed onto the injection machine at the same time.

5.Mold should be suspended horizontally.

6.Mold must be fixed onto the injection machine correctly according to the instruction.

7.Use prescribed bolts to fix the mold

8.When using lock blocks, eight lock blocks needed on each side for the mold over 1 ton, and four pieces on each side for mold smaller than 1 ton.


9.Ejector pin should be round, in same length and diameter.

a) Use 4 or more than 2 pieces of ejector pins.

b) Ejecting distance of each ejector pin should be equal.

c) The diameter of ejector pin should be maximum matching the hole. The end of ejector pin should be flat.

d) Fix the ejector pin firmly, make sure no looseness.


10.Nozzle of injection machine

a) Make sure the nozzle of machine(RN) is smaller than the nozzle of mold(RD) RD﹥RN

b) Diameter of injection machine sprue(DN) is smaller than it of mold main gate(DD) DD﹥DN

c) Center of nozzle must aim at mold gate

d) No gap and damage at nozzle touching area.


11.Ensure the mold opening distance is enough to take out the part.

12.After mold on the machine, the injection mold should be closed in a low velocity.

13.Ejection movement

a) Ejecting distance remain around 10mm

b) Testing ejection movement in a low velocity for several times and make sure the operation is under normal condition.


14.Before shutting the mold,make sure the sliders are at right position.

15.Circulation of cooling water must be adequate to cool down the mold.

a) The entry of cooling water should comply to the specific route

b) Hose has appropriate length and must be secured on the mold

c) Reliable connection between cooling hose and connectors


16.Make sure no any abnormal articles left in the mold. Remove anti-rust oil, dust, fragments etc. to avoid any fine scratch on cavity side.

17.The connection of hydraulic pipe and limited switch should be correct.

a) No leak on hydraulic pipe

b) No abnormality of limited switch

18.Checking if Temperature Controller is under normal condition

19. No sound abnormal while shutting and opening the mold

20.Must use appointed material, no regenerative resin used.

a) Make sure no rubbish, abnormal things mixed into the material

b) Good and proper viscosity of material


Molding operation:

21.Before molding, must warm-up the mold

22.Clear the remainder in the machine

23.Don’t inject fully at the first injection, try 3-4 times before full injection.

24.Mold shut force should be appropriate.

25.Please not clamp down forcefully, adjusting and trying through several times,absolutely no material overflow.

26.Before the next mold shut, make sure take out the plastic part completely, no remnant or fragments left in the mold

27.Everyday check the screws on the mold and tighten them

28.Everyday check if Urgent pause of Injection machine is functional.

29.Make sure all sliders are working smoothly.

Checking:

a) If any change of movement capacity

b) If orientation and position are consistent

c) No damage and abrasion on sliding side

d) No resin fragments stuck on touching area


30.Make sure no abrasion and damage on ejector pin, ejector sleeve, angle pin, return pin, guide pin and guide bush etc.

31.Every day infuse the oil to guide pin, guide bush, sliders, anger pin, return pin etc.

Checking:

a) Everyday one time apply lubricant onto above mentioned components.

b) Make sure no oil stuck on the part

32.Checking the parts often to ensure a stable quality.

33. After the production, must apply clear anti-rust oil onto the mold.

(Attention: before spray anti-rust agent, if using frozen water during the production, make sure to cut the frozen water, warm-up the mold, then cool down the mold)

34.For transparent and high quality surface parts with material ABS, HLPS, the mold must be

disassembled and polished after a constant production of 20000 parts.

35.After the production, water left inside the mold must be cleaned out completely.

36.Mold can not be placed on the ground direct.

a) Please use a flat wood underlay which is in same height

b) Don’t keep the mold vertically

37.During the mold preserve, make sure the mold parting line and main gate sprue are closed completely.

38.Establish a mold maintenance plan, maintain the mold termly.

39.All components and spare parts should be in a good management.
